Lightweight yet aerodynamic, this combination is almost unattainable. The clever minds at Extralite seem to have succeeded with the CyberDisc 338C wheelset. With a weight of only 1080 g, it is predestined for nimble mountain rides and the rim height of 38 mm reduces braking air vortices when driving fast on the flat.
The self-developed rim has the largest share in this. Toray's T1100G carbon material is the most advanced of its kind on the market today. It combines low weight, stiffness and durability like no other carbon fiber. In addition, the processing quality is beyond all doubt and meets even the highest demands. The asymmetrical arrangement of the drill holes results in a more even spoke tension, which increases the reliability of the wheelset. The semi-hooked rim flanges combine the best properties of hook and hookless rims. They are stable enough to digest possible punctures and still offer tubeless tires a very good grip on the rim at low air pressures.
The proven Extralite CyberHubs SPD-3 hubs rotate in the center. These little works of art are made of 7075TX aluminum and have been painstakingly CNC milled. The high-quality stainless steel bearings are double sealed so that dirt and water have no chance of penetrating inside. A pawl freewheel in the rear wheel hub provides propulsion. Two pawls engage in a 32-fold titanium toothing and bring you quickly forward. The 15 mm thick oversized axle at the front guarantees enormous rigidity and improves steering behavior over the long term.
